The Kathy Ford Band has been performing for over 35 years at clubs, concerts, private parties, corporate events, weddings, and all other occasion with over 50000 live performances. We pride ourselves on being professional at all times. Our many styles that we play are custom fit for the occasion. We play a wide variety of styles such as Rock, Top 40, blues, Motown, Country and Jazz. We would love to be a part of your next event or private party.
Kathy Ford band was named the "Best of the Best" from Lansing State Journal readers for 10 years in a row.
in 1982 Kathy released her first album which took her to Nashville Tennessee. During the next 15 years she recorded at several studios in Nashville such as Music Mill, Studio by the Pond and Fireside. Several singles Ep's and Cd's were released nationally and internationally which were all mentioned and tracked in Billboard magazine, Cashbox and Indie magazine for charting in the top 100. During that time Kathy performed on stage as an opening act, headliner or part of the band with many artists such as Vince Gill, Waylon Jennings, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Tammy Wynette, Jerry Reed, Mel Tillis, Stella Parton, Seals and Croft, Eric Burton, Marth Reeves and Vandella's and many more.
Kathy continues to play in Michigan and the midwest with her band the Kathy Ford Band as well as many solo and trio engagements. Kathy plays guitar, piano, and fiddle depending on the genre of the gig.
Kathy also teaches privately online guitar, piano, voice and songwriting.
New music will be coming this summer 2022 with her first release on Spotify, Apple music, iTunes and YouTube with the first single Little White Church on June 22, 2022. Album to follow. More info will be coming.
